NXP Semiconductors
- Built and delivered a structured enablement program for 200+ colleagues during the company’s move to a new data platform with built-in AI. Translated the first SQL samples with the platform’s AI assistant; ran weekly office hours, build-with-me sessions and workshops; wrote prompt guidance, playbooks, PDF guides and knowledge base articles, drafted with AI and reviewed by me, that let program champions onboard their own teams.
- Conducted a structured evaluation of the new data platform’s AI vs. Power BI Copilot: ran a hands-on pilot against real stakeholder questions, documented side-by-side outputs with Microsoft Copilot judging each round, and delivered an assessment of output quality, failure modes and fit that guided the key BI pilot teams.
- Built an enterprise Python + Tableau REST API and GraphQL governance audit framework covering every project, workbook and data source across several Tableau sites. Automated extraction and normalization into an on-demand self-service dashboard, turning a monthly audit that was not realistic to do by hand at this scale into under 1 hour of review.
- Deployed a self-healing monitor (Rserve + R watchdog) that detects a failure, recovers from it and reports it, with no manual step needed.
- Led a cross-functional initiative delivering a 51% reduction in capacity use within a single Power BI workspace: diagnosed the problem across multi-source usage data, designed remediation metrics, and agreed three waves of recommendations with my manager, my teammates and the user behind the usage, freeing 13% of total enterprise capacity.
- Implemented Power BI Row Level Security on enterprise semantic models, so hundreds of BI users across cross-functional teams see only the data appropriate to their role.
- Ran day-to-day Power BI and Tableau administration: users, groups, licenses and site settings. Resolved user issues from ServiceNow tickets, office hours and Teams, including broken data source connections, gateway problems and failed refreshes; opened vendor support cases; tracked active users and license use.
- Built two Power BI capacity dashboards: a historical trend from weekly DAX snapshots, keeping history past the built-in 14 days, and a real-time interactive view for validating the Power Automate alert at the threshold. The Power BI lead, our manager and the admins used it to see which users trigger the alert most.
